Nomination for election as an AFNAD Committee Member

Overview

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Association of First Nations Australians in Development will be held at 2.00pm (AEST) Wednesday 23 September 2026, via Teams.

According to the AFNAD Constitution, members must have the opportunity to vote on all positions on the Committee. There are five AFNAD Committee Member positions, and all five positions will be elected this AGM.‍ Any AFNAD member over the age of 18 may nominate themselves, and current Committee Members may nominate for re-election.

Key dates

  • 6 Sep: Nominations open

  • 14 Sep: Nominations close, 6:00pm (AEST)

  • 15 Sep: Voting opens

  • 22 Sep: Voting closes, 6:00pm (AEST)

  • 23 Sep: Results will be announced at the AGM and new members commence their term.

How to nominate

AFNAD strongly encourages all members to consider nominating themselves. Even if you do not have any experience sitting on a Committee or if you are an early career member, your contributions are still valuable.
